What Does It Mean to “Confirm Goods Received” on AliExpress
To understand what the order receiving confirmation is and what it is for, we need to track the whole process of making the order:
- A user makes an order and pays for it.
- The money gets on hold, i.e. it is controlled by the AliExpress administration. At this stage, the seller doesn’t deal with it.
- The order is packed and sent to the customer.
- The parcel arrives at the post office and the customer picks it up.
- The customer checks if the product corresponds to the claimed characteristics and decides whether it’s worth keeping or it’s better to send it back to the seller.
- Another possible outcome – the parcel doesn’t reach its destination.
In case the customer received the order and is happy with it, it’s necessary to confirm delivery. This action indicates that the product reached its destination and the seller can get their money. The profit for the seller is that they see that the customer is happy with the product and they get the payment.
The advantage for the customer is that they have additional points to their rating and keep their order list tidy. This is especially helpful when the list is large and constantly updated.
Is It Necessary to Confirm the Goods Were Received?
The customer isn’t obliged to press the confirmation button – as soon as the buyer protection term expires, the delivery is confirmed automatically, and the seller receives the payment for the product. Does the customer lose anything in this case?
The delivery confirmation allows leaving feedback about the product. After the confirmation, the user will see the corresponding window. What is the feedback for? It helps to increase the customer’s rating which is very important on AliExpress. Here are some of the advantages:

How to Confirm the Order on AliExpress
It’s very easy. Go to the “My Orders” section in your personal account. This tab is available both on the website and in the mobile app. You will see the orders’ list.
There are several buttons next to each order. One of them is the “Confirm Goods Received” button. Use this button if you received the product and are happy with it. As soon as the buyer protection term expires, the button disappears and the seller gets the payment. You won’t be able to open the dispute then.
NB: When the Confirm Goods Delivery button is pressed, you will see a window asking whether you really want to confirm delivery. This is done to avoid occasional pressing of the button.
What to Do if You Confirmed Order on AliExpress by Accident
As mentioned above, it’s impossible to confirm the order receiving with a single misclick. Still, sometimes there are situations when you accidentally confirmed the order delivery and now want to cancel the confirmation.
Unfortunately, you can’t cancel the confirmation. You can only hope for the better. But if something goes wrong, you won’t be able to open the dispute.
Is it possible to ask the AliExpress administration for help? Usually, it doesn’t help as the AliExpress administration only makes decisions via disputes. There were some cases when the administration cancelled the confirmation, but those are the exceptions. How to Confirm the Receiving of the Order via the AliExpress Mobile App
There is no difference between the confirmation from a PC or a mobile. Just go to the “My Orders” section of your personal account.
Select the necessary order and click “Confirm Goods Received”.
As soon as you confirm, you won’t be able to open the dispute. This rule is the same for the confirmation made both via the mobile app and your PC. If you have some complaints about the product, you need to resolve the issue first and only then confirm delivery.
What to Do if You Cannot Confirm the Order on AliExpress
Sometimes the confirmation button is active, the buyer protection hasn’t expired yet but you are not able to complete the action. Don’t panic – there can be several reasons for that.
- The website is overloaded or the maintenance is held. The overload can happen during the sales while the maintenance can be planned or unplanned. In this case, it’s worth retrying in a few hours.
- There are problems with the browser or the app version. It can happen after the updates or vice versa if the version is outdated. The solution is to update the program to the latest version.
- Other issues. It happens rarely and there is a single solution – contact the support team and attach the screenshots as evidence.
The most important thing is not to hurry up to confirm the order that hasn’t arrived. It helps to protect yourself from unpleasant situations. As soon as the product arrives and you examine it, click “Confirm Goods Delivered” – this way the seller will get the confirmation and the money and it will become a contribution to your customer rating.
