The sale was held in 2009 for the first time, as an anti-Valentine day for the Chinese singles. Read more about the history of this shopping event here. Since that time it has become one of the most popular world shopping events and has surpassed the Black Friday sale in terms of revenue. In 2017 the total revenue of the sellers on 11.11 was $28bn, the figures for 2018 were even more impressive – $32bn within the 24-hour event. The most popular categories were: Beauty, Health and Fitness.

As always, the main event will take place on Nov 11-12 (PST). Please note that the original time is CST (China Standard Time), which is different from other time zones. Most articles will contain local time (for your convenience, we made it in PST), so be careful when reading global 11.11 sale reviews.
Besides the sale itself, AliExpress will help the customers save more by preordering goods and participating in games and giveaways during the 11.11 presale 2019.

What is Aliexpress pre-order?
It’s a period of time before a sale when you can add products to the cart and get bonuses for it or reserve them at lower prices.
AliExpress takes care of both the shops and the customers and stimulates the latter to add products to the carts before the launch of the main event. Why? This way they give the stores a stable turnover and the customers – a guarantee that the products they want to buy won’t be out of stock.
This scheme also helps the customers to save more. Each time you add a product to the cart, you are given bonuses that can later be exchanged into coupons. Please remember that there are 3 types of AliExpress coupons:
- AliExpress Coupons. Given out during sales and presales. Can be used in any store.
- Select Coupons. Are also granted to the customers during special events; are similar to AliExress coupons, but some terms may apply, so make sure to study the Select Coupons’ descriptions.
- Store coupons. Usually available throughout the year, given out by stores and can only be used in the store that gave it to the customer.
What to pay attention to at the pre-sale?
- Add products to the cart and get points, 5 for each product, no more than 50 per day and 700 in total.

What not to miss at the 11.11 Shopping Festival on AliExpress 2019?
