If you buy from online stores working with a large number of sellers, you might come across dishonest sellers. These sellers can send second-hand products instead of new ones, replace the items you ordered with other products (worse or cheaper ones or just different). Sometimes you just don’t receive anything from such sellers.
The good news is that such large stores as AliExpress and eBay provide refunds and block dishonest sellers. So today we will talk about how to blacklist a seller or store on AliExpress.
Choose AliExpress Seller in Advance
Product price
We often choose the seller on the basis of the cheapest offer. Have you ever heard the expression “Penny-wise, pound foolish”?
It often happens that dishonest sellers offer the lowest prices. But be careful.
- First of all, install Megabonus extension. This plugin shows the rating of the seller and indicates the reliability rate.
- Secondly, choose the reviews of other users and find reviews with pictures.
- Thirdly, pay attention to the shipping cost. If you have to pay for the shipping, then this explains why the offer is so cheap. Such an order might turn out to be even more expensive than the products that seemed expensive at first.
Product rating
You can check the rating of the product by the stars. If the seller has 5 stars, you can trust them.
If the rating is low, it is better not to deal with this seller and not to buy the products from him. Happy customers always rate quality products with high marks.
By the way, don’t avoid products with no rating at all. This product might have just appeared. You can check the seller in a different way.
The number of orders
This is one of the most important factors. The more people received the product, the more reliable the seller is. Sort the products by the number of orders when searching.
Click “Orders” in the toolbar — you will see the products sorted from the most to the least ordered.
Customer feedback
Pay attention to this factor as is it the most important one. This is the only opportunity to see a “live” product in the pictures of the customers who have already received it. You can find the feedback under the product description in the “Feedback” section.
Seller rating
This factor is as important as feedback. It characterizes the seller, not the product. The higher is the rating, the more reliable is the seller. It means you will probably receive a product of high quality.
The seller rating on AliExpress consists of medals, diamonds, and crowns. The crowns illustrate the highest rating. The diamonds are also very good and the medals show an average rating.

The points you can see next to every icon illustrate the number of deals the seller has already made. The points are awarded for successful deals only.
One of the signs of high rating is the “Top Brand” medal. It means the seller has a very good reputation. But what to do if you are dealing with a scammer who is spamming you with tons of messages? This is what the blacklist was created for.
Blacklist on AliExpress
The seller added to the blacklist won’t be able to send messages to you. So you will be able to get rid of them forever. This is a kind of a blocker. But you will still be able to see the products of the blocked seller. To ban the seller
- Log in to your personal account
- Go to “Message center”
- Select the dialog with the seller you would like to ban. Then click “Add to blacklist”.
- Click “Confirm”
- That’s all, you will never receive annoying messages.
If you ever need to correct the list, go to the“Message Center” and then to “Contact Blacklist”. Click “Remove from Blacklist” to unban the sellers who do not bother you anymore.
Always remember to check the sellers on AliExpress before shopping to avoid problems with your orders!

this is no more, 99% end up blocked, plus, same seller have several stores, so you will end up with the same one anyway, is how they can meet sales quota and compete to each others, so you will end up with the exact same people that F’up your last order…. or worst.
Can’t see the “Add to blacklist” button

I had bad dealings with Xi YU Stationary Store. My item never arrived d spite many promises. I never received a refund. Bad sellers like this are spoiling the name of Aliexpress. Buyers be careful check feedback.
Black list a seller does not work. Please fix this. You can’t ignore this stuff forever. Otherwise you guys will have to deal with the wrong customer.

Hmmm… after selecting the dialog with the seller I would like to ban, the only option is delete chat. I can’t find any “Add to blacklist” icon. 😮

What are you talking about? There is NO way to block any messenger in blacklists at AliExpress. The button ‘Add to blacklist’ does not exist. Dealers abuse this and flood me with DAILY advertising and coupon spam messages that I cannot stop. I asked them to stop and they simply go on, EVERY DAY! Would YOU buy from such pushy dealers?? Who would?!
There IS a “Contact Blacklist” menu item on the left side of the messenger window, but it simply leads to an empty list, that cannot be editied or updated. My guess is that AliExpress is doing this on purpose, devaluing the customer base and supporting the dealers more and more.
After years of buying at AliExpress (500+ orders) I am about to give up: so many lost parcels from China, dishonest dealers, ridiculous coupon and ‘coin’ hurdles that make it impossible to just GUESS what the final price may be.
On top this dysfunctional message system that can no longer be controlled nor blocked as needed.
Time to leave AliExpress, too much agony and dissatisfaction
@88bluekeys4u I totally agree with you. Aliexpress cheats. They even delete courier method customer paid for so that you won’t know which courier method you paid. Seller can change to what courier method they want. A cheater platform with full of cheater sellers. I have been using them for dropshipping for over 5 years and thinking about leaving. The only problem is hard to find another place to do dropshipping. Any suggestions?
It’s getting messy, I couldn’t block seller specially the store, I couldn’t report the seller trying to privately message that the price increase, I couldn’t mail the ali express because the mail is full and they cannot accept more mails. Like wtf🤷🏻♀️ are we playing here? 2 seller trying to give shit on me, the other one lied that they shipped the items where in fact no!! That’s why I couldn’t even track. I ended up deleting Ali Express such a waste.
