Smart glasses are not a novelty in the sphere of smart gadgets. So the release of smart glasses from XIAOMI was only a question of time. We’d even say they appeared much later than they had to. But as you know, they do not invent revolutionary devices in XIAOMI, they make common devices revolutionary.
XIAOMI smart glasses launch date has not been announced yet, but it looks much like it can be Sep 15, 2021, which is … tomorrow. ))) There’s a notice on the official website of XIAOMI on the release of new products that will take place at 8 PM on Sept 15. Let’s cross our fingers and hope that XIAOMI smart glasses will be among them.
Meanwhile, we’d like to share the details of the new device from the XIAOMI. These futuristic glasses are described by XIAOMI as a device “from the future” that can one day completely replace smartphones. You can make calls, translate written and printed texts, take photos, see images, and use navigation apps without your smartphone now. The built-in camera (5 MPx) will help you instantly take photos (double the end of the glasses to take a photo, just like you do it with Air Pods). A special indicator will let you know when the camera is in use.
The glasses are made of ABS plastic (at least it looks like this, as there’s no full product review on the official website of the company). The design of the glasses is minimalistic, to say the least. The rounded edges and thick glasses actually resemble eyewear from the 70s. And this is the only possible minus of the device we found. The weight of the glasses is 51g. The glasses are equipped with a built-in microphone and a speaker.
The OS of the glasses is predictably Android and they work on the quad-core ARM processor, the capability of which is even more than necessary for a pair of glasses in spite of the fact they are smart. )))
The 0.13-inch microLED display is smaller than a grain of rice but a much larger image is offered to the eye through the reflection and diffusion of the optical waveguide lens. Plunge into virtual or added reality to live this moment to the full!
The company chose to use a monochrome display to let the light pass through the complicated optical structures with ease, so it looks like the image you take will be displayed as black and white.
